I'm Rafal Fuchs, a Senior Backend Engineer based in Katowice, Poland, with 5+ years of hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining production web applications in Python and Django. My core stack is Django, Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, Celery, Redis, Docker, and AWS/GCP.

Since 2022 I have worked on the backend of Useme, a Polish freelance marketplace: I co-delivered the Job Board search refactor with table denormalization for high-traffic reads, built the B2B tax calculator, and co-lead the Useme Plus membership product. Before that I built scraping, outreach, and process-automation systems for clients through my own company, and worked as a data analyst at ING Poland.

I also run AiVisible.pl, an AI visibility agency that audits, improves, and monitors how B2B brands appear in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. That work combines backend engineering, data automation, technical SEO, and language models.

I work remotely on B2B contracts and freelance projects (currently 20h/week), issue VAT invoices, sign NDAs, and communicate in Polish and English. Typical engagements: Django REST APIs, taking over and stabilizing an existing codebase, PostgreSQL performance, Stripe and LLM/RAG integrations, and automation that removes manual work.

    • Delivered a major Job Board backend refactor, including database denormalization for high-traffic workloads.
